We are all living in unprecedented and unpredictable times, but events can still happen with well thought out measures, to allow for safe and memorable occasions. Since the onset of the pandemic, Amazing Celebrations & Events has successfully handled event cancellations and rescheduling for all of our clients. Based on our long-term relationships with vendors and venues, we were able to recoup almost 95% of deposits for clients who chose to cancel events. We have years of experience with reviewing and scrutinizing contracts to assure that our clients fully understand the parameters of their commitments prior to signing agreements. This is more critical than ever, especially with rescheduled and new events. Many of our clients chose to move ahead with their celebrations, albeit on a smaller scale. In the age of technology, there are so many creative ways to engage your family and friends virtually. One of our clients relocated their wedding to their summer home and hosted a tented celebration for 30 of their family and friends. They respectfully asked everyone to confirm a negative COVID test prior to attending. In addition, those not attending in person were able to view the ceremony on Zoom. The bride and groom enjoyed interacting with those guests and viewed several pre-recorded messages. The father of the bride offered a toast to the new Mr. and Mrs. in front of the camera for the enjoyment of the Zoom guests. Another one of our clients decided to hold a small gathering in the backyard of the bride’s parents’ home. They participated in a Jewish wedding ceremony followed by a luncheon under a tent. The videographer set up a YouTube live stream for friends and family to log in. The wedding party, not in attendance, created a very special and personalized video that was presented to the bride and groom. The couple rescheduled with the reception venue to the following year and plan to have a party to celebrate their marriage.
